Met Gala 2025 - Superfine: Tailoring Black Style
Every year the Gala is held to raise money for the Costume Institution. This years theme paid homage to the rich history of Black fashion, emphasising the elegance and sophistication of tailored styles. Co-chaired by Anna Wintour, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Pharrell Williams, the gala seamlessly blended fashion with cultural storytelling. The ‘blue’ carpet was a testament to this narrative, with guests donning ensembles that celebrated Black excellence and sartorial innovation.
Colman Domingo was a standout at the 2025 Met Gala, effortlessly showcasing two unforgettable looks that paid tribute to the theme "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" while also embracing his personal sense of style. Both of his ensembles captured the essence of sophistication, individuality, and cultural pride, making him one of the most talked-about stars of the evening.
Colman Domingo’s 1st look of the night, featured a royal blue Valentino floor length pleated Cape with a beautiful embellished with a gold and silver sequined breastplate, adding a touch of opulence. The 2nd outfit revealed he was wearing a Valentino Zoot suit look underneath featuring several different patterns.
Zendaya stunned in a custom tailored Louis Vuitton suit.
Zendaya truly got the theme which celebrated the artistry and legacy of Black dandyism and the influence of Black culture on fashion. Styled by her long-time collaborator, Law Roach, the tailored look paid homage to the history of Black style, particularly referencing the significance of the zoot suit, a garment historically linked with Black identity and cultural resistance.
Her suit, designed by Pharrell Williams for Louis Vuitton, was a modern take on this iconic style.

With so many beautiful tailored fits The 2025 Met Gala was more than a fashion event; it was a powerful statement on the influence and artistry of Black fashion.
